My son just finished the March Madness session with Tom. What a fantastic experience, and his shot improved so much. I really liked how Tom teaches, he didn't just tell him how to fix things, but made him understand what he was doing wrong so he could self correct. Would recommend Base Hockey to anyone wanting to improve their shot!

Hello I came to your place to get a custom stick fitting and purchase a stick. I feel this is only a partial review because I'm still waiting for my stick to arrive. I would have to say my overall experience with Base Hockey was ok. I think Tom was the person that I was dealing with. He was friendly and provided me with lots of tips on the proper way to shoot. However, I was a little disappointed in my stick fitting session because he had to leave for around 10 minutes. He was helping another customer with a stick. I felt a little disappointed because I paid for a 45 minute session. I would recommend having another staff member on hand to assist other customers. I think Tom did help me find a good stick because I noticed a difference in my shot velocity and accuracy. Also it would be helpful if you let customers know to sharpen their blades after the session because it dulls their blades. I had the unfortunate experience of playing a game a having dull blades. Thank you for you time. I can't wait to try out my stick!!

Great instruction for both my kids! The training was geared so well for each child's level and needs. The instructor was so good at bringing understanding to both the kids and myself. I'm looking forward to going again

Tim at Base was great to work with. He offered a lot of great tips for both my son and myself. Chris Joseph also came out to run a shoot practice for my son's hockey team and he did a great job. he broke it down for the kids so they understand the concepts.

My Atom aged son spend 45 minutes at base for some shooting instruction, and I was shocked by how much information was able to be given and absorbed in that 45 minutes. We have seen improvement in technique after just 1 session, we are eager to do more! very much recommended.

Very pleased with the one on one instruction and positive criticism. My daughter went there a little apprehensive and left with a huge grin and a blistering snap shot.

Very accommodating and great session with awesome feedback for my son. They were running a bit behind but still spent the full time for our appointment no questions asked. Super prompt on getting the videos. Great overall experience, it’s too bad Chris Joseph couldn’t pop in for more of them to do himself however completely understandable he puts in a lot of time elsewhere helping teams.

I was pretty disappointed. I had the custom stick fitting for my son. While I wasn't expecting allot of feedback, my son received none. My son was simply asked "How does that feel", "Which one do you like better". I thought some feedback/analysis might come with the video. It did not. Are we to presume my 12 yr old has perfect shooting technique making stick selection completely intuitive? Base came recommended from friends who did not describe this scenario.

I think your program is great for my girls. Only suggestion I have would be to install a tread mill machine for ice skates. That way we could do shooting and skating at the same time.

Had a great experience at Base hockey Edmonton. My 12 year old son Austin was in need of new sticks. After using Bauer sticks his entire life we decided to try Base and after a fitting session the guys found the perfect stick flex curve and lie and takes all the guessing out of his shot. Austin went with the new Reign LT which we feel is superior to the Bauer at 2/3 the price. And that's saying a lot. Thank you Base.

The one-on-one instruction and immediate feedback is great for spotting and correcting issues with technique. The video feedback is great for showing kids what they need to work on. This is a great set-up and we appreciate the cheerful and skilled instruction.

Was good overall! Instruction with video analysis was very thorough and beneficial. I thought the Shooting Lanes were very noisy and echoed a little too much especially when the other lane was in use at the same time. It was hard to communicate and understand instruction whilst the other person in Lane 2 was shooting. Would be great if there were some sound-proof barriers to reduce the noise for better focus and communication.

Very good service, knowledgeable staff made the experience worthwhile will definitely be buying a few sticks and will be back when the younger one is ready.

Chris is probably one of the most professional teachers I have ever met, and yet at the same time he is so personable with the kids. He can be constructive with his comments and the student WILL learn to be better. My daughter & I both feel great after we leave there --- it is money well spent. Highly recommend this program if you want your child to improve with their shooting skills! Thanks to Chris and his team for 27 lessons of great instructions.

What a great experience! This one-on-one shooting instruction was priceless. My son thoroughly enjoyed it and was able to take the lessons learned straight to the ice. The feedback after each shot is immediate - he could see on screen what he did and how to improve it, then keep shooting. The instructor was patient and communicated continuously throughout the session with encouragement and enthusiasm. 5 stars from me!

This was our second stick, last yeasr got a stick for my oldest son. The experience was excellent. This time when my youngest went not the same experience. Very friendly but not much in the way of little pointers to assist in ensuring his best shot would be most beneficial to the stick. In saying that will never buy another stick other than BASE! My son has been going to Base in Edmonton for 6 months and his shot and more importantly his confidence when shooting have improved greatly. After the first lesson the other parents and coaches noticed the improvement. I would highly recommend visiting them.

We went in for our first base hockey stick as we have been hearing nothing but good things about Base. The stick fitting was very educational and well worth the $60! you can definitely see how much impact the proper curve, flex and lie has on performance. We have been with Raven or a couple years, the switch so far is awesome!

Super patient staff with young kids to work through correcting bad habits.

I got a fitting and custom stick for my husband Stuart for our anniversary. He is raving about the experience. The attention to detail on the shots and use of the slow motion cameras was great for analyzing each shot. He enjoyed learning points that he should work on. The service was fast. Within 24hrs he had his video shot comparisons emailed to him. He is now waiting for his completely customized stick to come in. Thanks to everyone there for your amazing work!! Now my son is completely jelouse and wants a new stick!!
